Moderna Launches National Awareness Campaign to Help Drive COVID-19 Vaccination
Moderna, Inc. (NASDAQ:MRNA) has introduced a new awareness campaign, "Do It For You & Them," aimed at increasing vaccination rates in the U.S. amid persistently high COVID-19 infection rates. The campaign focuses on educating the public about the ongoing risks of COVID-19 and encouraging vaccination to mitigate severe health impacts and protect community health.
The campaign highlights data from the CDC showing that people over 65 are significantly more vulnerable to COVID-19 than the flu or RSV. Despite this, over 95% of adults hospitalized for COVID-19 in 2023-2024 lacked the latest vaccination. Moderna's updated vaccines now target the KP.2 variant and are readily available nationwide at various retail locations.
Chief Medical Affairs Officer, Francesca Ceddia, emphasized the critical role of vaccination in preventing COVID-19 and its long-term effects. Chief Brand Officer, Kate Cronin, noted that the campaign aims to connect with people on an emotional level, underlining the importance of staying healthy for loved ones.
