Nano One and Worley partner for breakthrough in lithium-ion batteries
Clean technology specialist Nano One Materials Corp. and Worley Chemetics have signed a Strategic Alliance Agreement and License Agreement to develop, commercialize and deploy a One-Pot cathode plant design. This collaboration intends to integrate Nano One's patented One-Pot process into a modular solution, promising to transform the production of cathode active materials (CAM) for lithium-ion batteries.
This initiative builds on Worley's expertise in sustainable engineering solutions and Nano One's technology that enables cleaner, lower-cost production of CAM. The two companies plan to implement this technology at multiple sites, focusing on promising markets such as renewable energy and electric vehicles.
The One-Pot process, by reducing costs and environmental impacts, aligns the sustainability and economic efficiency goals of the growing battery industries. This partnership is seen as a crucial step in accelerating the development of diverse and clean supply chains in this rapidly growing sector.
