Neoen Completes Record Financing of More Than AU$1.1 Billion for Its Renewable Energy Assets in Australia
Neoen, a global leader in renewable energy, has completed the financing of a 1.5 GW portfolio of renewable energy assets. This operation, raising more than AU$1.1 billion, brings together 8 wind, solar and battery storage projects. The transaction is one of the largest in Australia's renewable energy sector.
The funded portfolio includes seven operational wind and solar assets located in South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria, as well as the first phase of the Collie Battery currently under construction in Western Australia. This operation allows Neoen to refinance approximately AU$700 million of debt linked to individual projects, while allocating the remainder to finance new assets.
Lenders including 11 Australian and international financial institutions such as ANZ and Societe Generale are supporting the initiative. Completion of the Collie Battery is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024. Louis de Sambucy and Xavier Barbaro de Neoen expressed their satisfaction with this milestone achievement, highlighting the positive impact on the company's future growth.
