Network-1 Acquires Patent Portfolio for Advanced Security Technologies

Network-1 Technologies, Inc. (NYSE American: NTIP) has announced the acquisition of a patent portfolio focusing on advanced security technologies. The portfolio includes eight U.S. patents and one international patent. It covers technologies such as smart home IoT device interoperability, security against quantum computers, and transport layer security improvements.

The acquisition includes eleven pending U.S. patent applications and five international applications. These patents, first filed in 2018, have terms extending to 2038. Network-1 plans to continue pursuing these applications and file new ones with the USPTO.

The portfolio was acquired from IoT Technologies and M2M Technologies, LLC. John Nix, the managing member, is an acclaimed inventor with a background in embedded SIM technology. His educational credentials include degrees from Davidson College, Kellogg School of Management, and Northwestern University.
