New Insights Into Which Food Ingredients to Avoid
Dr. Daniel Pompa, founder of the Pompa Program, highlights studies in his blog "Which Food Ingredients To Avoid" revealing the top five toxic food ingredients. Artificial sweeteners, often seen as healthier than sugar, pose numerous health risks. They contribute to bladder issues, gut bacteria disruption, and increased cravings for sugary foods.
Colorants such as Tartrazine (E102), Carmine (E120), and others, commonly found in processed foods, are linked to allergic reactions, hyperactivity in children, and negative impacts on digestive and immune systems.
Processed meats contain high levels of preservatives like nitrates and nitrites, increasing health risks. These meats, high in sodium and lacking nutrients, are associated with chronic diseases.
High fructose corn syrup (HFCS), a sweetener found in many processed foods and beverages, is connected to numerous health concerns despite its natural origin.
Lastly, vegetable oils should be avoided due to their high omega-6 fatty acids content, which can lead to inflammation. Healthier alternatives include olive oil, avocado oil, and coconut oil.
