The insights further demonstrate that 85% of Nextdoor users are comfortable seeking local recommendations from neighbors, showcasing the platform’s role in enhancing community engagement. Additionally, 79% of users are more inclined to support businesses recognized as a Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite, indicating the impact of local endorsements on consumer behavior. The report underscores how "Local" encompasses both a geographical area and a sense of community belonging, with more than half of the survey participants (54%) resonating with this dual definition.

Nextdoor’s insights stress the power of community connections in reducing feelings of loneliness and fostering emotional well-being. Notably, the platform has facilitated the formation of close friendships within neighborhoods, with over half of its users meeting close friends locally and 75% feeling more connected to their community through Nextdoor.
