NOA Lithium Brines Reports Promising Brine Processing Results
NOA Lithium Brines Inc. has announced significant progress in its Rio Grande Project in Argentina. Brine samples from the project were processed using XtraLit Ltd.’s proprietary direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology, which utilizes ion-exchange to recover over 91% of lithium. This technology also effectively eliminated impurities like magnesium and sodium with a rejection rate of over 98%.
The CEO of NOA, Gabriel Rubacha, highlighted the project's potential, referring to its robust resource estimation of 4.7 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent. The recent successful tests affirm the versatility of developing the project using either evaporation or DLE processes. The company targets completing a Preliminary Economic Evaluation (PEA) in 2025.
NOA is also working to finalize an investment from Clean Elements Ltd. and anticipates closing a subsequent financing round by the end of November 2024.
