Nordex Group Appoints New CEO to Enhance North American Division

Hamburg, 29 April 2024 - Nordex Group has announced the appointment of Manav Sharma as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its North American division, effective from June 1, 2024. Sharma brings 16 years of industry experience and has held several senior management positions within the company, including roles as Chief Transformation Officer and Chief Operations Officer (COO). His appointment aims to strengthen Nordex's business operations in the United States.

As part of its expansion strategy in North America, Nordex is focusing on launching a new turbine tailored for the American market, with enhancements specific to US project conditions expected to be announced by mid-year. Furthermore, the company is actively expanding its local supply chains to ensure continued benefits from local manufacturing incentives, positioning itself well for the anticipated market growth in both the US and Canadian sectors.

John McComas, former leader of North American operations, will transition to the role of COO North America. Nordex Group's CEO, José Luis Blanco, highlighted the strategic importance of North America, expressing confidence in Sharma's leadership to propel the company's growth and market position in the region.
