Hamburg, 27 June 2024. The Nordex Group announces the resumption of production at its facility in West Branch, Iowa. This move aligns with its North American growth strategy. The facility will produce nacelles for the N163 turbine variant and a new product tailored to the US market. The company has been active in the USA since 2000, with offices, a training academy, and several service points across the region.

CEO José Luis Blanco emphasizes that manufacturing nacelles in the US is vital for local procurement and the company’s expansion in North America. This step aims to capitalize on the expected market growth in the US and Canada.
Manav Sharma, CEO of Division North America, adds that with support from the Global Nacelle team, the US team will build on the existing local supply chain. Production capacity is expected to exceed 2.5 GW annually by the first half of 2025, creating new jobs in the US.
