North Shore Uranium Finds Notable Uranium At Rio Puerco
North Shore Uranium Ltd. has published results from its initial drilling program at the Rio Puerco uranium project in New Mexico. All 13 drill holes demonstrated significant uranium mineralization, featuring intersections such as 27.0 ft at 0.30% eU3O8 (Hole RP-26-18-39) and 12.5 ft at 0.33% eU3O8 (Hole RP-26-18-640). These findings were reported with a minimum cutoff of 0.02% eU308.
The program focused on validating historical data from the 1960s and 1970s. The uranium was identified in sandstone units, which align with over 95% of the previously reported Rio Puerco Historical Resource. Additionally, all uranium intercepts lay below the water table, favorable for in-situ-recovery mining.
The program outcomes bolster North Shore's upcoming Phase 2 drilling in late 2026, aiming to further refine geological and resource models. The investigation seeks to verify the historic resource data as North Shore considers a resource estimate compliant with updated standards.
