October 2024 Traffic Report for VINCI Autoroutes and Airports
In October 2024, VINCI Autoroutes experienced a 0.8% increase in overall traffic compared to the same month in 2023. The growth was largely driven by a 4.9% rise in heavy vehicle traffic, attributed to an extra working day this year. Light vehicle traffic saw a minimal increase of 0.1%. Year-to-date, the total traffic shows a marginal decline of 0.5%.
VINCI Airports recorded a 6.2% increase in passenger numbers compared to October 2023. Notable growth was observed in Hungary, with a 19% rise, and Japan, up by 14%. However, Mexico and Costa Rica saw decreases of 4.4% and 5.2%, respectively. Year-to-date figures reveal an overall increase of 8.5% in airport traffic.
Commercial movements at VINCI Airports grew by 4.1% in October 2024 compared to October 2023. Significant increases were noted in Cabo Verde and Costa Rica. Nonetheless, the Dominican Republic experienced a 15% decline. Year-to-date movements are up by 5.6%.
