Odigos Raises $13M in Funding to Revolutionize Application Performance Tracing

Odigos, a pioneering eBPF-based observability platform, announced it has secured over $13 million in funding. This investment round was led by Venture Guides with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Mango Capital, and Firestreak Ventures. Notable Angel investors included industry leaders from Chronosphere, Honeycomb, and Lightstep.

The funds will drive the development of Odigos' observability platform, enhance go-to-market strategies, and establish a new headquarters in Boston. Founded in 2023 by Ari Recht and Eden Federman, Odigos offers a solution for monitoring and tracing distributed systems without requiring code changes or performance impacts.

Odigos leverages eBPF technology to automate distributed tracing, offering accurate context propagation within OpenTelemetry. The company aims to simplify the implementation for developers, reducing the manual effort and resource consumption typical of traditional tools.

Odigos' technology addresses challenges in understanding service interactions, failure spreads, and latency issues. The platform has already garnered interest from Fortune 100 companies and is poised to transform how organizations handle application performance monitoring.

"Odigos supercharges any organization's current monitoring solution," said CEO Ari Recht. "We are excited to tackle one of the foremost challenges engineers face today."
