Pampa Metals Advances Its Copper-Gold Exploration with Third Drillhole at Piuquenes Project
Pampa Metals Corp. is making significant progress with its third diamond drillhole, PIU-03, at the Piuquenes Project in San Juan, Argentina, aiming to reach a downhole depth between 850 and 900m. This hole intends to extend the copper-gold mineralization at the northeast and southeast sides of the Piuquenes Central porphyry, targeting a core of strong chalcopyrite-bornite copper mineralization. The drillhole was started 300m west of the previous hole PIU-02, adopting a steep angle to explore the porphyry copper-gold deposit down to roughly 1000 meters.
The company's President and CEO, Joseph van den Elsen, expressed optimism regarding the exploration's progress. He highlighted the significance of the PIU-03 hole in potentially enhancing shareholder value by exploring high-grade copper and gold mineralization at the Piuquenes Central. The company also plans to investigate other promising targets within the Piuquenes project. Pampa Metals had announced significant mineralization intervals at Piuquenes Central in previous releases, signaling the site's potential.
Pampa Metals, listed on multiple stock exchanges, seeks to bolster its copper-gold portfolio through strategic explorations and joint ventures. The exploration efforts and reported mineralization at the Piuquenes Project underline the company's commitment to identifying and developing valuable resource deposits.
