Paragon Announces Preliminary Half-Year Figures - Operating Profitability and Cash Flow Improved
paragon GmbH & Co. KGaA has announced its preliminary figures for the first half of 2024, showing increased operating profitability and improved cash flow despite a decline in sales. Revenue reached EUR 75.4 million, down from EUR 86.4 million in the prior-year period, mainly due to the sale of the starter battery business in 2023 and slow customer recovery.
EBITDA from continuing operations rose to EUR 8.5 million from EUR 8.1 million in the same period last year, bringing the EBITDA ratio to 11.3%. The interest burden decreased significantly, leading to improved earnings after interest and taxes from EUR -5.6 million to EUR -1.0 million.
The company's operating cash flow saw a significant increase, moving from EUR -5.4 million to EUR 2.6 million. Final figures for the first half of the year will be published on August 21, 2024.
