PFISTERER Completes Type Test for 320 kV HVDC Cable System
PFISTERER Holding SE has successfully completed a type test for a 320 kV high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cable system. This achievement makes PFISTERER the first independent supplier to reach this milestone, enhancing their role as a technology leader in electrical connection and insulation.
The type test included comprehensive evaluations of a 320 kV HVDC cable system, featuring fluid-filled outdoor terminations and a high-voltage cable. Testing adhered to international standard IEC 62895, underlining the reliability of their HVDC accessories.
Looking forward, PFISTERER plans to conduct a prequalification test for long-term system performance. The development of new materials and HVDC plug-in technology is also underway, supporting global power grid transformation.
