Photon Energy to Run FORVIA’s First On-Site PPA Solar Power Plant in Hungary

Photon Energy NV has announced the completion and operation of a 658 kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant for FORVIA's subsidiary, Clarion Hungary Electronics Kft. This project, situated on the client's premises, is set to produce 14.1 GWh of electricity over a 20-year period under a power purchase agreement (PPA).

Clarion Hungary, a subsidiary of FORVIA, the seventh-largest automotive technology supplier globally, will utilize 100% of the energy produced by the plant. Photon Energy developed, built, and will operate the installation, which includes 1,248 monofacial modules. This project aims to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 3,620 metric tons over its contract duration.

ENGIE Impact facilitated FORVIA's on-site solar PV roll-out and partnered to standardize and accelerate the implementation process. Photon Energy's involvement highlights its growing presence in the Hungarian market and commitment to providing renewable energy solutions for the industrial sector.
