Phu Quoc Named World's Second Best Island

The World's Best Awards 2024, by Travel + Leisure, has named Phu Quoc in Vietnam as the second-best island globally, following the Maldives. Kem Beach on Phu Quoc is recognized for its pristine beauty, compared to "heaven on earth."

186,000 readers voted based on natural experiences, beaches, local cuisine, and value. Phu Quoc scored 94.41 points, just behind the Maldives and ahead of Bali.

Travel + Leisure highlighted Phu Quoc's tranquil nature and unique experiences. The island offers luxurious amenities with resorts like Sun Group's New World Phu Quoc being recognized among the world's top 100 hotels.

Phu Quoc is notable for its visa-free access for up to 30 days for foreigners. This allows visitors to explore its natural beauty and entertainment complexes, including Sunset Town. The island also boasts the world's longest three-wire sea cable car to Hon Thom Island.

In 2024, Phu Quoc expects to welcome up to 14.6 million visitors, joining major tourist centers like Bali and the Maldives.
