PIERER Mobility AG Transitions to New Ownership with Bajaj Auto
On November 19, 2025, PIERER Mobility AG announced that Bajaj Auto International Holdings B.V., a subsidiary of India-based Bajaj Auto, has taken control of Pierer Bajaj AG. This move follows the exercise of call options and regulatory approval by the European Commission. Bajaj Auto now holds 50.1% of Pierer Bajaj AG, which has a majority stake in KTM's parent company. The company will soon be rebranded as Bajaj Auto International Holdings AG.
Changes have been approved for PIERER Mobility AG's company name to Bajaj Mobility AG, with modifications to the Supervisory Board. New members from Bajaj Auto have been appointed, strengthening the board's expertise. Bajaj Auto is a key global player in the motorcycle market with operations in over 100 countries.
Bajaj's €800 million investment in May 2025 reinforced KTM's financial stability. CEO Gottfried Neumeister aims to leverage Bajaj's global presence and expertise for KTM's growth and stability, aligning production with market demand to boost sales.
