Piramal Pharma Limited Reports Strong Q1 FY27 Results
Piramal Pharma Limited has announced robust financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. The company's revenue increased by 17% to ₹2,270 crores, driven by growth across its Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), Complex Hospital Generics (CHG), and Consumer Healthcare (PCH) businesses. The CDMO sector, in particular, saw a notable expansion of 19%.
The company's EBITDA rose by 72%, reflecting improved operating leverage and execution. The EBITDA margin reached 12.5%, up from 8.5% the previous year. However, despite these improvements, the net profit after tax remained in negative territory at ₹69 crores, although this is an improvement from the previous year's loss of ₹82 crores.
Underlining Piramal's commitment to quality, their Sellersville facility in the US received a positive inspection report from the US FDA, maintaining a Zero OAI status. Chairperson Nandini Piramal expressed optimism for sustained growth and margin expansion throughout FY27 amid dynamic market conditions.
