Prismo Metals Acquires Data and Updates Model for Hot Breccia Copper Project in Arizona
Prismo Metals Inc. has announced an update to its mineralization model for the Hot Breccia project in Southern Arizona. The update is based on historical data acquired from Bear Creek Mining Company, previously a subsidiary of Kennecott Copper Co. The information covers exploration data and interpretations from the 1970s, including logs and assays from drill holes OC-1 to OC-3.
The newly acquired data reveals the distribution of quartz diorite dikes containing copper-bearing fragments. Shallow and deep IP anomalies have been identified, potentially indicating mineralization over a larger area than previously known. The deep IP anomaly corresponds with a conductive anomaly identified in Prismo's 2023 ZTEM survey.
Drilling data includes a complete log for hole OC-1, which indicates significant copper mineralization. Prismo's 2024 exploration program will incorporate this historical data to optimize drilling targets. The program is budgeted at $3 million for five drill holes totaling 5,000 meters.
