Quadient Expands Partnership with Japan Post to Enhance Open Locker Network

Quadient, listed on Euronext Paris, has announced a broadened partnership with Japan Post via Packcity Japan, a joint venture with Yamato Transport. This collaboration enables consumers to ship parcels using Japan Post's Yu-Pack service directly from automated parcel lockers, dubbed PUDO stations, simplifying the process through a mobile app. This development enhances convenience and increases parcel volume across Packcity Japan's nationwide locker network.
Japan Post operates over 24,200 post offices and employs a substantial workforce, enhancing logistical efficiency through this partnership. Akitsugu Yanagida, CEO of Packcity Japan, emphasized the network's role in making logistics more sustainable.
Quadient, a leader in open locker networks, manages roughly 7,000 lockers in Japan and over 25,000 globally. They continue to invest in locker technology to support growth in major e-commerce markets.
