Readymag Launches Initiative to Empower Women in Design Industry

Readymag, a leading design tool company, announced the relaunch of its Designing Women initiative aimed at combating gender inequality in the design sector. The initiative focuses on providing support to female-identifying, non-binary, and individuals facing gender-related issues within the industry through the ReadyLaunch Grant. This grant is designed to help kickstart design projects and enhance the visibility of underrepresented voices.

This latest move follows the successful first edition of Designing Women launched in 2019. Co-founder and CEO Diana Kasay emphasized the initiative's role in empowering women's voices in design and its positive impact on the community by bringing recognition to overlooked female designers. The ReadyLaunch Grant, part of the initiative's relaunch, aims to support a variety of design projects with a package that includes a $2,000 fellowship, membership benefits, and media coverage support.

The initiative also features the Designing Women web project, showcasing 37 influential women in design history. This year's relaunch aims to expand inclusivity and offer a platform for broader discussions on gender issues in the design world. Additionally, it provides access to over 20 organizations supporting female and non-binary individuals in design, facilitating networking, funding, and career opportunities.
