Zeochem to Acquire SiliCycle: Strategic Expansion in Chromatography Gels
On July 1, 2025, the CPH Group's chemistry division, Zeochem, announced its agreement to acquire SiliCycle Inc., a Canadian leader in high-value chromatography gels. While the purchase price remains undisclosed, the transaction is expected to complete by the third quarter of FY2025. This acquisition is a significant step in Zeochem's strategy to enhance its capabilities in developing and distributing sophisticated chromatography gels, crucial for complex processes in the pharmaceutical sector.
SiliCycle, with revenues of CAD 16 million in FY2024 and a workforce of 60, will merge into Zeochem. The acquisition bolsters the CPH Group's global presence, now extending to 15 locations, and enhances its product portfolio in derivatised chromatography gels. These gels are essential for analytical techniques used across R&D laboratories and API manufacturing.
The deal aligns with CPH Group's aim to expand its market position by integrating niche products with high growth potential. SiliCycle's expertise and market presence offer Zeochem a strategic advantage in high-barrier segments. Moreover, the acquisition is expected to boost CPH's long-term earnings growth, maintaining resilient EBITDA margins.
