Restructuring of Cherry SE's Gaming & Office Peripherals Division
Munich, 2 October 2024 - Cherry SE has announced a significant restructuring of its Gaming & Office Peripherals division. Effective immediately, René Schulz will leave the company. The division, underperforming since late 2022, will refocus on core European markets, excluding Germany due to weak economic conditions.
CEO Oliver Kaltner will manage the division on an interim basis. The company aims to bolster B2C sales, targeting key markets such as France, the UK, Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Cherry SE also plans to introduce a new deal term and margin model to increase profitability and reduce gray market activities.
The restructuring aligns with the previous reorganization of Cherry Americas and Cherry APAC, positioning the company to maximize its market potential. New business relationships with key retailers, including Amazon, MediaMarkt, ELGIGANTEN, Dixons, and FNAC DARTY, are also in focus.
