Manufacturers Struggle to Scale MES Integration, Rockwell Automation Reports

Rockwell Automation's latest report, "Scaling MES Across the Enterprise," reveals that while 93% of manufacturers use Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), only 23% have achieved full integration. Challenges include disconnected systems and underutilized data, limiting the value derived from MES investments.

According to the report, integration remains a top priority and obstacle, with 44% of manufacturers highlighting it as a primary concern. Despite this, manufacturers' AI ambitions, projected to support 54% of processes by 2030, face hurdles due to insufficient data utilization.

Security has emerged as a critical requirement, with 46% of manufacturers experiencing cyber incidents last year. Rockwell's MES technology aids companies like Kumi North America in scaling their operations effectively. The report urges addressing the gap between MES deployment and enterprise-wide scaling to unlock significant value.
