Rocky Mountain Liquor Announces Upcoming Board Changes

Rocky Mountain Liquor Inc., trading on the TSX Venture Exchange as RUM, has revealed upcoming changes to its board of directors ahead of its 2024 annual general meeting of shareholders. The nominations include two representatives each from Camac Partners, LLC and its associates, as well as from a group led by Peter Byrne and Joan Byrne. Christopher Queitsch, David Delaney, Peter Byrne, and Allison Radford are the nominees proposed for election.

In an effort to facilitate these new appointments, the company will propose an adjustment of the board's size to six members during the meeting. This comes as Robert Normandeau announces his retirement from the board, ending his seventeen-year tenure since the company's establishment in 2007. Peter Byrne, the Executive Chairman and Acting CEO, praised Normandeau's significant contributions and leadership throughout his service.

Additionally, both Camac and Byrne groups have pledged their support for the company's management nominees and other related voting agreements that will be effective until March 18, 2025. These two parties control significant portions of the company’s issued and outstanding common shares, with the Byrne group holding approximately 22.4% and the Camac group about 19.1%.

Further information regarding the management nominees and other meeting details will be provided on SEDAR+ in the future. The changes come at a time when Rocky Mountain Liquor aims to strengthen its governance and continue its growth trajectory in the liquor retail market in Alberta.
