Sadot Group Inc. Commences Brazilian Trading Operations with First Booked Transaction
Fort Worth, TX / ACCESSWIRE / July 29, 2024 / Sadot Group Inc. (NASDAQ:SDOT) announced that its new Brazilian subsidiary, Sadot Brasil Ltda, executed its first agri-commodity trade. The transaction involved the sale of Brazilian sesame to a customer in the United Arab Emirates.
CEO Michael Roper emphasized that this milestone highlights the strategic importance of Brazil for Sadot's growth. He noted that trading in sesame introduces a new commodity for the company, reflecting its diversification strategy and execution capabilities in the $7.3 billion sesame market.
Sadot's integrated platform leverages global reach and local expertise to offer innovative solutions. The initial trade also reinforced synergies within the company, with Sadot Canada Inc. aiding in the destination sale. Previously, Sadot Brazil collaborated with Sadot Latam on multiple export cargoes.
Sadot Brazil Ltda, based in Curitiba and managed by executives Paulo de Sa and Flavio de Campos, was founded in January 2024. The subsidiary focuses on sourcing from local farmers and establishing export logistics.
