Safran Confirms Growth and Profitability Targets at 2024 CMD
Safran's 2024 Capital Markets Day emphasized its strategic goals for sustainable profit growth, leveraging its leadership in burgeoning markets. The company reiterated its 2024 guidance and shared optimistic projections for 2025 and 2028. Safran aims for a revenues increase of about 10% in 2025 and expects recurring operating income between €4.7-4.8 billion, with a Free Cash Flow (FCF) of €2.8-3.0 billion.
By 2028, the company foresees a high single-digit CAGR for revenue growth, targeting €6-6.5 billion in recurring operating income and a cumulative FCF of €15-17 billion over 2024-2028. This growth will enable boosting shareholder returns to around 70% of FCF, including a €5 billion share buyback plan. The transition from CFM56 to LEAP engines and innovation in decarbonization and aircraft systems underpin these ambitions.
