Safran Receives Approval for Collins Aerospace Acquisition

Paris, June 6, 2024 - Safran has announced a significant step forward in its proposed acquisition of Collins Aerospace’s actuation and flight control business. The Italian government has approved the sale of Microtecnica S.r.l to Safran. This decision follows Safran's commitments that aligned with the acquisition's objectives and addressed Italian national interests.

In the United Kingdom, the Secretary of State reviewed the acquisition under the National Security and Investment Act and granted unconditional clearance, deciding against further action.

The acquisition still requires other regulatory approvals, including merger control, and is subject to customary closing conditions.
