Saint-Gobain Cancels 5 Million Shares
On December 3, 2024, Saint-Gobain announced the cancellation of 4,959,746 treasury shares. This move adjusts the company's capital structure, reducing the total number of shares from 502 million at the end of December 2023 to 497 million.
In 2024, Saint-Gobain allocated €420 million for share buybacks, net of employee shareholding activities. Since 2021, the Group has reacquired €2 billion worth of shares, reaching its "Grow & Impact" plan target ahead of the 2025 deadline.
This share cancellation reflects Saint-Gobain's strategic financial management, optimizing its capital structure and potentially increasing shareholder value.
