San Diego Businessman Sam Nejabat Appointed to California State University Board of Trustees by Governor Newsom

San Diego, CA / ACCESSWIRE / June 27, 2024 - Sam Nejabat, Founder and Former President of SJN Properties, has been appointed to the California State University Board of Trustees. The announcement came from the Governor's office earlier this week. Nejabat also holds positions on the San Diego Convention Center Corporation Board of Directors and the San Diego County Fair Board of Directors.

The 25-member Board of Trustees oversees regulations and policies for the entire CSU system. Its committees govern various domains such as educational policy, finance, campus planning, and facilities. This appointment is one of the most prestigious made by the Governor. Nejabat succeeds Lateefah Simon, who is campaigning to replace Barbara Lee as East Bay's next Congresswoman.

Currently, Nejabat serves as Senior Advisor of Business Affairs for the California Department of Justice under Attorney General Rob Bonta. Before joining the DOJ, he developed one of San Diego's largest real estate companies. The Senate must confirm this appointment.
