Schaeffler AG Issues €1.15 Billion in Bonds

On March 26, 2025, Schaeffler AG announced the successful placement of €1.15 billion in corporate bonds with international investors. The issuance was split into two tranches: €550 million at 4.250% due in 2028, and €600 million at 5.375% due in 2031. Oversubscription indicated strong market demand.

The proceeds will support the company's general corporate activities and financing needs. Claus Bauer, CFO, emphasized that this refinancing effort strengthens Schaeffler’s financial stability post-merger with Vitesco. The bonds are set to be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and ING, Mizuho, Santander, and UniCredit acted as joint bookrunners.

This issuance underscores investor confidence in Schaeffler's strategic approach. Settlement is expected on April 1, 2025.
