Schaeffler AG Reports Lower EBIT Margin for Fiscal Year 2024

Schaeffler AG announced preliminary figures for fiscal year 2024, indicating an EBIT margin before special items below group expectations. The margin is expected to be 4.5%, down from 7.3% in 2023, and below the guidance of 5-8%. The decrease is attributed to weak developments in the Bearings & Industrial Solutions Division and Vitesco Technologies in Q4. Despite this, sales rose to EUR 18.2 billion, driven by the full consolidation of Vitesco Technologies, though still below the market consensus of EUR 18.5 billion.

Free cash flow before M&A activity was approximately EUR 360 million, surpassing the guidance of EUR 200-300 million and the market consensus of EUR 274 million. Schaeffler will release final results and guidance for 2025 at the annual press conference on March 5, 2025.
