Schindler Increases Share Buyback to CHF 700 Million
Schindler Holding Ltd. announced an increase in its ongoing share buyback program to CHF 700 million. Initially set at CHF 500 million, the program targets the buyback of registered shares and participation certificates. The initial program was launched in November 2024 and is set to conclude by November 2026.
The decision to increase the buyback value by CHF 200 million was made by the Board of Directors. Other terms from the original buyback notice remain unchanged. The buyback transaction occurs on second trading lines on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
Schindler plans to cancel the repurchased shares through a capital reduction, subject to approval at the next Annual General Meeting. This move underscores Schindler's commitment to optimizing its capital structure following the announcement in October 2024.
