Second quarter 2024 results for Aperam: Transformation and progress towards standardization

Aperam has published its results for the second quarter of 2024, marking a first step towards the normalization of its activities. The company posted adjusted EBITDA of 86 million euros, up from 55 million in the first quarter.

Shipments remained generally stable at 583 thousand tonnes. Turnover came to 1,634 million euros, down slightly by 1.4% compared to the previous quarter. Net profit stood at 59 million euros, compared to a loss of 19 million euros in the first quarter.

Strategic initiatives, notably phase 5 of the Leadership Journey®, generated 12 million euros in gains. Aperam expects a slight improvement in EBITDA for the next quarter, despite an expected increase in net financial debt.
