Accuracy in Travel Authorizations: A Global Trend Analysis
According to the Service eVisa Travel Readiness Index, 76% of global travelers accurately complete their electronic travel authorizations on the first try. The common errors stem from passport details, with Singaporean travelers leading in accuracy.
The index, evaluating over 10,000 applications for US ESTA, UK ETA, Canada eTA, among others, identified passport detail errors, like numbers and expiration dates, as notorious mistakes, making up 31% of errors. Such inaccuracies necessitate reapplication and additional fees, particularly in the US ESTA system.
Countries such as Japan and Switzerland follow Singapore closely in accuracy, reflecting a trend in precise data entry among travelers. Service eVisa advises copying passport details directly to avoid errors.
