SGL Carbon's Q3 2026 Performance Spurs Full-Year Earnings Forecast Upgrade
SGL Carbon has reported robust business performance in the third quarter of 2026, prompting an upward revision of its full-year earnings forecast. Despite a 8.9% decline in consolidated sales over nine months due to discontinued unprofitable segments, Q3 sales stabilized at €200.6 million. Adjusted EBITDA fell slightly by 2.1% to €106.3 million, with the margin improving to 17.9%.
The Graphite Solutions unit performed strongly, with a sales increase of 10.0%, partly driven by compensation payments from adjusted contracts. Meanwhile, the Process Technology unit faced challenges with a 27.7% sales drop, attributed to postponed projects in the chemical industry. The Fiber Composites unit showed promise, benefiting from restructuring and posting a significant EBITDA increase.
SGL Carbon expects sales to reach the upper end of €720 million to €770 million for 2026, supported by a favorable sales agreement from its former Carbon Fiber site in Moses Lake.
