Shanghai Summer 2026: New Initiatives to Welcome Visitors

Shanghai Summer 2026 is introducing new services for international visitors. From July to October, under the theme "Shanghai Summer, Join the Family Fun," the event is collaborating with various partners to enhance the tourist experience. Visa, a strategic partner, is expanding its "Tap to Pay" network, facilitating contactless payments throughout the city.

China UnionPay offers the Nihao China app, covering payments and transportation, with multilingual functionality. Bank of China, for its part, is optimizing its Tax Refund 2.0 program, simplifying tax refunds in Shanghai. The Shanghai Pass, a card combining various transportation options and benefits, is another innovation. Jin Jiang International is also enriching the tourism and cultural offerings. Thus, Shanghai aims for optimal integration of services for a simplified stay.
