Siemens to Spin Off Stake in Siemens Healthineers
On November 12, 2025, Siemens AG announced plans to deconsolidate its majority stake of approximately 67% in Siemens Healthineers. The decision, approved by Siemens' Managing and Supervisory Boards, aims to simplify Siemens’ portfolio, allowing it to focus more sharply as a technology company.
Siemens intends to transfer 30% of its stake directly to Siemens AG shareholders through a spin-off, positioning the remaining shares as a financial asset over the medium term. Despite the deconsolidation, Siemens remains committed to maintaining its progressive dividend policy. The transaction is contingent upon regulatory approval and shareholder agreements from both Siemens and Siemens Healthineers.
The move reflects a strategic shift to streamline operations while reinforcing its commitment to shareholder value. It follows a broader industry trend of focusing on core areas to enhance operational efficiency and market positioning.
