Skinopathy Crowned as Startup World Cup Canada Regional Winner at CIX Summit

Toronto-based medtech company, Skinopathy, has been announced as the Startup World Cup Regional Winner for Canada. The award was presented at the prestigious CIX Summit, recognizing Skinopathy’s innovation in the field of skin condition management utilizing AI technology for early skin cancer detection among other skin conditions. The Startup World Cup is an international event aimed at fostering global startup ecosystems, backed by Pegasus Tech Ventures.

The competition, which sees participation from over 70 regions worldwide, culminates in a Grand Finale in Silicon Valley, where the ultimate champion will claim a USD $1 million investment prize. Skinopathy stood out among the 2024 CIX Top 20 Early inductees, hailed for its integrated approach to healthcare, research, and technology. By leveraging AI, Skinopathy is enhancing the way healthcare practitioners, pharmaceuticals, and cosmeceuticals screen, track, and manage skin conditions.

Keith Loo, co-founder and CEO of Skinopathy, expressed honor at the recognition and shared the company’s aspirations to continue making Canada proud on the global stage. Skinopathy is set to represent Canada at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in San Francisco on October 4, 2024, competing for the grand prize.
