Sky Gold Completes Basal Till Sampling, Identifies Historic Gold Occurrences

Sky Gold Corp. (TSX.V:SKYG) has completed basal till geochemical sampling on its Consolidated Shebandowan property in Northwestern Ontario, covering prime target areas. Results are pending.

The initial phase focused on the Mingold Au anomaly and a Ni-Cu-Co-Cr-PGE anomaly. The property spans 5,894 hectares, situated near the past-producing Shebandowan mine.

ALS Global conducted the survey, ensuring detailed sampling every 1-square kilometre. The previous sampling by the Ontario Geological Survey was done at a wider 4-square kilometre spacing. Results from ALS Global are expected within three weeks.

Historic data compilation revealed six legacy gold occurrences and one zinc showing. These will be explored further this season. Gold findings are on northeast-trending faults and associated with pyrite and arsenopyrite.

Geological mapping and prospecting will continue, focusing on prime areas and historic showings. Results will guide trenching and diamond drilling planned for late summer to early fall.
