Skyborn's New Partnership for Gennaker Offshore Installation
Skyborn Renewables has entered a Preferred Supplier Agreement with Fred. Olsen Windcarrier for the installation of wind turbines for the Gennaker offshore wind farm. Located in the German Baltic Sea, the project will see 63 turbines installed by 2028, adding up to 976.5 MW to Germany's renewable energy grid.
The offshore installation will be executed using Fred. Olsen Windcarrier's specialized vessel, Brave Tern, known for its advanced turbine handling capabilities. This agreement strengthens the longstanding collaboration between Skyborn and Fred. Olsen, highlighting their commitment to offshore wind energy.
Gennaker is set to become the largest offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. Once operational, it will supply green electricity to approximately 1 million people. The installation is scheduled for completion and commissioning in 2028.
