SMTPC takes stock of its 2023 annual results
The Société Marseillaise du Tunnel Prado Carénage (SMTPC) announced its results for the year 2023. The financial year recorded a slight drop in attendance with 14.22 million vehicles, a decline of 1.6% compared to 2022 However, the year was also marked by the completion of work on the Schlœsing ramp, open to traffic in October 2023.
The financial results show a turnover up 5.8%, to 37.068 million euros, thanks in particular to price revisions. However, operating income and net income fell by 5% and 7.9% respectively, partly due to the integration of the Schlœsing junction. Despite this, an increased dividend is proposed at 2.10 euros per share.
Concerning the outlook for 2024, a slight drop in traffic was observed in the first quarter, which calls for caution in an uncertain economic and social context.
