SPACES: Digital Innovation Meets Contemporary Art at Phillips

HOFA Gallery and PhillipsX unveil 'SPACES', the inaugural selling exhibition of a new curated digital realities series. From October 3 - 10, 2024, during Frieze London, the show will feature ten works by eight global artists, blending digital innovation with artistic expression. Highlighted artists include Sougwen Chung, Emily Xie, Refik Anadol, Krista Kim, Ana María Caballero, Shirin Abedinirad, Random International, and Joseph Klibansky.

Elio D'Anna, curator and co-founder of HOFA Gallery, describes SPACES as an exploration of digital technology's evolving impact on contemporary art. Sougwen Chung's "Spectral," created with a robotic arm, exemplifies this fusion of human and AI creativity. Krista Kim's gradient works and Emily Xie's digital collages also illustrate the integration of traditional and digital techniques. Refik Anadol's "Winds of Yawanawa #888," merging weather data and tribal art, rounds out the highlights.

Miety Heiden of Phillips emphasizes that SPACES pushes contemporary art's boundaries by merging digital innovation and creative expression. This exhibition underscores a commitment to supporting artists using cutting-edge technology.
