Steyr Motors AG has announced its entry into the global market for mobile power generation. The company forecasts a cumulative revenue of over EUR 100 million by 2030. The new product, the M12 Power Unit, is designed for mission-critical operations and offers significant cross-selling potential through Steyr's established international network.

The M12 Power Unit stands out for its compact and modular design, delivering 32 kVA at just 600 kilograms. This positions Steyr alongside market leaders like Caterpillar and Cummins. The diesel generator market, projected to reach EUR 37 billion by 2032, presents a growth opportunity.

Production of the M12 Power Unit will commence in late 2026, requiring minimal capital investment. The new business segment is expected to significantly enhance Steyr's revenue and earnings, with anticipated substantial market share. Initial customer feedback has been promising, underlining the product's relevance and potential.
