STMicroelectronics: Certification of its ST87M01 Module by Deutsche Telekom
STMicroelectronics announced the enhancement of its ST87M01 module with new NB-IoT and geolocation capabilities, certified for Deutsche Telekom networks. The module integrates Wi-Fi positioning for precise geolocation indoors and in dense urban areas. This technical advancement is part of the NB-IoT specification version 15.
The recent certification allows STMicroelectronics to expand its subscriber reach in Europe. The module meets stringent performance standards, having been successfully tested with multiple mobile operators. Supporting Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP), it offers flexibility in choosing the network operator without physically changing the SIM card.
