STMicroelectronics presents innovative image sensors

STMicroelectronics has unveiled a new line of 5-megapixel CMOS image sensors designed to optimize image capture in industrial, security, and commercial applications. These sensors, codenamed VD1943, VB1943, VD5943, and VB5943, incorporate advanced technologies such as 3D stacking and onboard RGB-IR separation, eliminating the need for additional components.

With their global hybrid and rolling shutter modes, these sensors enable artifact-free video capture and sharp imaging in low-light conditions. Their compact design and enhanced features for machine vision and automation make them ideal for high-throughput processes.

Currently available for evaluation, mass production of these sensors will begin in February 2026. ST thus confirms its commitment to providing optical sensing solutions suitable for various advanced applications.
