Carrefour Partners with Vusion to Digitize Stores by 2030
On February 18, 2026, Carrefour and Vusion announced their strategic partnership aimed at transforming Carrefour's hypermarkets and supermarkets across France by 2030. This collaboration is central to Carrefour's "Carrefour 2030" plan, focusing on enhanced operational efficiency and improved customer experiences through digitalization.
The deployment includes cutting-edge electronic shelf labels, smart rails, and AI-driven cameras. This follows Vusion's successful implementation with Walmart in the U.S., marking Carrefour as the first major European retailer to adopt this technology at scale.
Carrefour's CEO, Alexandre Bompard, emphasized the importance of technology and AI in retail modernization. The initiative aims to improve productivity, minimize out-of-stocks, and enhance customer satisfaction. Meanwhile, Vusion's CEO, Thierry Gadou, highlighted shared visions for the future of commerce driven by innovative technology solutions.
