Sunrise Publishes Its First Comprehensive Sustainability Report
Sunrise UPC GmbH has released its inaugural comprehensive sustainability report. The strategy underpinning this report is built on four pillars: People, Planet, Progress, and Governance, with 15 key action areas identified. The report follows Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, demonstrating Sunrise's dedication to transparency and sustainability.
CEO André Krause emphasized the integration of sustainability goals into corporate objectives, highlighting the involvement of employees in these efforts. The company's Sunrise IMPACTS strategy aims for higher employee commitment, reduced emissions, and increased digitisation.
Last year, Sunrise launched key initiatives such as sustainable product design, recycling programmes, and offers to promote the circular economy. The company also expanded digital education for low-income households and introduced discounted subscriptions.
For employees, Sunrise offers development opportunities, an inclusive work environment, and a volunteering programme. Environmental focus has gained certification and high marks from the Carbon Disclosure Project. Recently, Sunrise was awarded a platinum rating by EcoVadis, placing it among the top 1% of global sustainable companies.
