SustainableIT.org and Deloitte Partner for IT Sustainability
SustainableIT.org, a non-profit dedicated to global sustainability via technology, has announced a strategic partnership with Deloitte. This collaboration aims to guide business technology leaders towards sustainable operations. Deloitte is among the first professional services firms to join forces with SustainableIT.org, developing tailored resources and programs for IT professionals.
The partnership will see testing of SustainableIT.org's standard metrics in Deloitte's consulting. It also involves joint research on IT sustainability maturity and co-produced educational programs on topics like sustainable AI and regulatory reporting. Global events like UN Climate Week will feature co-hosted educational initiatives.
As board member Suda Suvarna brings Deloitte's support, consistent IT-tailored metrics for ESG and sustainability will be developed. This benefits clients in measuring and enhancing sustainability. The collaboration highlights technology's role in sustainable transformation, aiming to inspire industry change.
A multiphase research program will evaluate key IT capabilities for sustainability, with findings revealed at the SustainableIT.org Impact Awards and Symposium. This partnership is a commitment to both planetary and technological sustainability.
